Post by bitheerani319 »

If you are thinking of looking for a job abroad, you will almost certainly have to write your CV in English, but do you know how to do it? In this article we will give you a series of tips that will be very useful for you in writing it.

1. Take care of the wording, keep it simple
This advice applies equally to your CV in Spanish, but you must be more belgium phone number list in English, since it is not your native language and it will be easier to make mistakes.

Although I never recommend copying what you find out there, it is useful to read CVs from native speakers (there are thousands and thousands of them on the Internet) so you can see how they express themselves.

For example:

Jan 2014 – Sept. 2015 Waterstones Crawley, shop assistant

Worked in a busy bookshop, often left in charge. Provided quality service to customers and learned to manage pressure.

As you can see, it is a very simple style, but full of information. Don't complicate things with convoluted structures and, if you can, try to have it corrected by a native before sending it.

2. Caution! Do not translate
Try to write your CV in English from scratch and not translate the one you have in Spanish, so you don't get into trouble.

Translations are always dangerous, because they lead to cumbersome structures that, as we said above, are best avoided. Use typical English phrases and conventions. For example, do you know the equivalents of your educational qualifications in the UK? Check out this list:
