I'll admit something I don't like to admit often, let alone publicly, and that is that I sometimes have prejudices against certain locations. In my mind, not every trip is the same and not every location is worth the money we're about to spend.
Especially when you're not a backpacker or someone who can sleep anywhere, so you realize that you'll pay the same for Vienna and Hong Kong, along with airfare, because you want to stay in a hotel of your choice, and hotels in Europe are traditionally more expensive (and with worse service) than in Asia.
So it's not too surprising that I avoided Brno for years. I just didn't feel like it, and that's a good cameroon whatsapp list argument to stay home and not waste time and money on a trip. Because when something doesn't appeal to us, why force ourselves to do it?
And then the nice weather arrived, a few days off, and the desire to travel began to grow. But where to travel, so that we don't come back more tired than we left, so that we can make good use of the few days, and yet see something new?
Brno! We could go to Brno. Why not? In the end, if the city turns out to be a mess, we have a good hotel so we can at least rest. The hotel is Barcelo, in the very center of Brno, and we won't see the car for a few days because it will be parked in a garage. We won't even need the car while we're there, the city is compact and everything can be explored on foot.

Traveling by plane is very exciting because you know you're flying somewhere far away, often to an exotic place completely different from home, so you have that butterfly feeling in your stomach and you can't wait to get to the location.
Road trips are special, as anyone who loves road trips knows . There's something super relaxing about loading your stuff into the car (the best part is that you can take whatever you want because there's room), lazily setting off, without stress or pressure, enjoying the surroundings and the road (especially if you have time to explore the local roads, the highway is the most boring), and you can stop whenever you want and have a coffee.
Brno-2
For me, a road trip isn't complete without a coffee from a gas station machine. There's nothing I like more than choosing a gas station to stop at (it has to be a nice and cozy one) and buying a coffee that I then drink outside by the car. If anyone else does this, let me know.
Brno, an ideal city for a weekend trip
