Communicating


Slicer type formatting has been moved to the Format pane
Previously, to change the type of a slicer, for example, from a relative date to a slider, these settings were only available in the visual header and only on mouseover. Additionally, to change a slicer to “horizontal,” users must first choose “list” in the visual header to see the option in the format pane, and then use the format pane to switch the orientation.

These settings now reside in 1 place in the format panel, making it easier to discover and change between slicer types consistently. Note that horizontal has now been renamed to “ tile ” based on user feedback.

Another added benefit with this change is that the new mobile formatting options now have access to this setting as well! Users can quickly update their mobile layout slicers to use the block to be more mobile-friendly.
