Class E1 chipboard is the second safest for the human body (but only ecuador mobile database appropriate surface cladding).
High-quality chipboard does not contain phenols in its adhesive components, and the proportion of toxic substances is negligible. However, it is still not recommended to use the board without edging. This is due to the safety of the material, which without end protection will quickly absorb moisture from the environment and swell.

Class E2 chipboard emits the largest amount of harmful substances, is prohibited for production in foreign countries, and in Russia is prohibited for the production of furniture and products used inside public and residential premises (GOST 10632-2007).

MDF and chipboard (laminated chipboard) of class E1 are permitted for furniture production (with mandatory surface cladding).

MDF is an environmentally friendly material and has no restrictions on use, while laminated chipboard is not recommended for use in children's and medical institutions.

Unfortunately, not all manufacturers adhere to the norms and standards, and then the usual outer shell may disguise illiquid goods that may be unsuitable for use in the furniture industry.
It is almost impossible to distinguish high-quality chipboard from low-quality by eye, because the decorative coating interferes. Chipboard with a high content of formaldehyde gives off a characteristic smell that intensifies when opening doors and drawers. Also, the seller or manufacturer of furniture must have certificates for chipboard, which indicate the class of the product.
Remember that quality is not cheap.
If at the moment you can only buy very inexpensive furniture, be sure to pay attention to the ends. The ends must be properly covered with an edge!
