301 redirects on Shopify stores
Just like WordPress and Magento, implementing 301 redirects in a Shopify store is pretty simple and straightforward.
Go to Sales Channels > Online Store > Navigation
You will then see a very discreet “URL Redirect” link at the brazil mobile database top of the page. Go ahead and click it.
You can now Create URL Redirection.
Then it’s as simple as adding the “from” and “to” URLs and saving the redirect. It’s that simple.
301 redirects on BigCommerce
If you run an eCommerce store on BigCommerce, here’s how to add a 301 redirect:
Navigate to Server Settings › 301 Redirects .
Add a redirect and add the old URL.
Select Manual Link (where you enter the new URL you want to redirect to) or Dynamic Link (you can select a page or category, and if you change this page later, the redirect will automatically update) as the redirect type.
If you selected the Dynamic Link option above, enter the URL of the new page or select the page you want to redirect to.

Common 301 redirect mistakes and how to avoid them
It’s easy to make mistakes when implementing 301 redirects, usually unintentionally, here are some of the more common mistakes and how to avoid them.
Allow 404 pages
In most cases, you should not return a 404 code for a deleted page, but instead implement a 301 redirect to point users and search engines to the new destination page.
