It seems that soon handwritten documents will disappear from our lives altogether and all information will be stored on the servers of large companies. Based on this, the question arises - is it necessary to teach children handwriting, if they will mainly use computers anyway? Researchers from the American state of Maryland are sure that written language is very important for the mental development of children. If they are not taught this, the academic performance of schoolchildren can decrease significantly, which can lead to general degradation.



To prove their point, they conducted an experiment in which people had to learn Arabic letters in three different ways: by writing them down, by typing them, and by eye. The essence of the study
The experiment involved 42 adults. They were tasked with learning the Arabic alphabet, which consists of 28 letters. The peculiarity of Arabic writing is that words are written from left to right. The process of writing letters can be divided into 3 stages:

first, the main parts of the letters are written, which do not require lifting the pen from the paper;
after that, parts of the letters that require tearing off the paper are added. These are the dots and lines that can be seen around the letters and words;
