Recently, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced a grant competition from NATO. Grants are awarded within the framework of the Science for Peace and Security (SPS) program. Ukrainian scientists have the opportunity to participate in the implementation of research that meets the strategic security needs of the modern world. In what areas are projects accepted?

The programme operates in many NATO partner countries. Science for Peace and Security supports projects with high potential to strengthen national and international security.

In addition, the program seeks projects that help protect critical infrastructure, improve the environmental situation, and increase preparedness for various types of threats.


Project areas:
Assessing threats from the Russian Federation. Creating tools to counter information attacks and analyze hybrid challenges.
Cybersecurity. Development of solutions for protecting information networks and communication systems.
Energy Security: Developing innovations to protect energy infrastructure and transition to renewable energy sources.

Innovation and advanced technologies. Research in artificial intelligence, quantum and biotechnology to counter potential threats.

Combating terrorism. Creating technologies to identify and prevent terrorist attacks, particularly in the area of ​​countering technological threats.
Strategic analysis. Research of global security trends and creation of early warning systems.
