Accelerated growth in the use of mobile devices
Some people ask me “ What if I don’t take any of the options? ”, i.e. “ What if I ignore mobile devices? ”. This is clearly a very bad decision and I’ll explain why.
The use of mobile devices is growing rapidly . In fact, the number of people who connect from a phone or tablet has already surpassed the number of people who do so from a computer, currently more than 60%.
The thing is, if your website doesn't have special instructions for these users, the browser will display the same desktop web layout on the mobile device, making it very difficult to navigate .
In addition, a search engine, such as Google , will lower your web positioning or remove your website from its list of results (rankings) when a web user searches for it from a mobile device, because your website does not meet the parameters established to adapt to this type of user.
Not adapting your website with a mobile-friendly design will prevent you from appearing on Google in front vice president software email list of more than 60% of Internet users, a disaster for any company!
Imagine the number of potential customers you are losing just by not having a mobile-friendly website – a lot of people. So, the most sensible thing to do is to try to adapt to this new trend, which is not even that new anymore. In fact, this is a trend that is not going to change, as I see it as impossible for us to return to the desktop version as the preferred version.
In conclusion, it is in your best interest that your website can be viewed from mobile devices and the best way to do this is with a responsive web design.
Growth of online shopping via mobile devices
If you have an online store, the opportunities to monetize your business are much greater if you have a responsive website. Perhaps at first, Internet users were not entirely convinced by buying from their mobile devices, but now we see that more and more users are using these versions to make their purchases.
At this point, I will not deny that it is even more effective to have a native mobile application, but that is a very costly step that I only recommend when your company has a lot of recognition in the market, sales volume and depending on the profile of your client.
For now, you should know that there are many more people interested in buying online through mobile devices and that you should make the effort to provide this facility to your potential customers.
Why should your website design be responsive, no matter what?
