Journalists and Press Releases

Post by bitheerani319 »

Press releases are one of the main sources of information for journalists. Even with all the data available on the internet, or poland mobile database because of this, they have not lost their importance. In fact, a study carried out by KPMG for PR Newswire among its journalist members indicates that for 68% of media professionals it is still one of the three main sources of information – the second, in fact.

The explanation is easy to understand. It is true that there is more information available today. But there comes a point where journalists are literally inundated with data. What can they use? How can they validate the veracity of the information? With editorial offices becoming increasingly smaller and the workload increasing (now we no longer write only for the physical newspaper – paper – but also for the online version and, sometimes, the piece is even broadcast on television) the need to prioritize and save time becomes more acute.

And this is where press releases can gain importance in the relationship with journalists . But only if they are useful, contain relevant information and are appropriate for the medium in question .
