Life360 recently announced that more than 2 million (mainly American) families use the Family Tracking app. Life360 is a location service, which allows parents to keep an eye on where their children are. It offers check-in services, which allow parents to arrange to check in with their children at a certain time at a certain location, so that parents know that everything is okay with them. Children can also easily send an SOS message with the app. Finally, the application offers, very American, an overview of the nearest 'sexual predators'.
All in all, Life360 is a controversial app. Although it won the Google Android Developer Challenge and qatar phone number list was a technology winner of the Facebook fbfund and millions of families use it, there are plenty of arguments to be made against this kind of privacy-violating technology. Social media engagement: higher on Thursday and Friday
Buddy Media recently discovered that the best days to reach people on social media are, not surprisingly, Thursdays and Fridays. The reason for this is at least as logical; people are working towards the weekend and therefore spend a lot more time on things outside of work on Thursdays and Fridays. Buddy Media discovered that people are 18% more engaged and have more conversations on social media on Thursdays and Fridays. According to the researchers, this could also be because there are generally fewer posts and tweets on Fridays, as companies also prepare for the weekend. Fewer posts means more time to spend per tweet or wall post.
