Hyves has shifted its focus on growth to increasing the length of stay of a Hyver. With more than 11 million accounts and a purely Dutch focus, growth (in terms of members) has therefore stopped. Nevertheless, Hyves still welcomes an average of 3,000 new members every day. According to them, they are not suffering from the rise of Facebook in the Netherlands. The figures confirmed this earlier. However, I recently noticed that more and more retailers are ignoring Hyves.
Most likely in line with this focus, Hyves launched a new product on April 8, 2011: the Hyves peru phone number list Fan Pages. The official announcement in the press release reads as follows:
“As of today, brands have the opportunity to enter into a dialogue with existing fans on Hyves. This official place within the network responds to the need of marketers to be structurally social. Hyves helps marketers on their way with advice and a model for 24/7 presence. Heineken, Vodafone, Axe, Lipton and Nike are the first brands with a Hyves fan page.”
