It is unbelievable how quickly the foreign legion of Anonymous is able to strike hard in the event of – in their eyes – digital censorship or otherwise. Where is this going? Anonymous cannot be eradicated, they say themselves. The legion of digital freedom fighters is like the Hydra of Lerna , an invincible multi-headed monster, because for every head that is chopped off, two heads grow back. Gabriella Coleman , an anthropologist and expert on Anonymous, puts it exactly the same : “It has been a long while since they showed their hydra head this way […] The significance is that in a very short timeframe a message of dissent is spread loud and clear through a disruptive but not damaging (at least not significantly damaging) tactic.”
