How far can journalists go on social media?

Post by Shishirgano9 »

Since this election is a marathon, the New York Times has put together an “Election Distractor” full of images, videos and soundscapes to transport you away from the reality of November 2020. The idea is that you stare at the screen and randomly watch: a woman making herself a hot chocolate, a timelapse video of a plant growing, etc.

The video game format

Japanese television covers the elections like rich people database a video game with two candidates presented in the form of avatars with "life bars". A daring format that allows us to take a step back from this month of November.

French platforms & audiovisual – After weeks of negotiations, the government has finalized a decree aimed at making SVoD platforms, Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video contribute to the financing of French creation . France is thus one of the first countries to transpose the European directive on audiovisual media services at the national level.

Second lockdown and the world of culture – Anger is brewing among booksellers who see this second lockdown as a boulevard of opportunities for e-commerce platforms as the end-of-year holidays approach . To survive, they are asking for literary prizes to be postponed & are organizing themselves with click & collect schemes . The same goes for movie theaters – forced to close after having just had a record week . The only bright spot on the horizon is that film and series shoots will be able to continue provided that barrier gestures are respected .
