The Basic Concepts of Keyword Research

Post by Rina7RS »

Before we start doing keyword research, we’ll quickly explain some of its basic concepts:

Focus keywords or key words are the words or phrases that you want a page on your website to be found by in Google. By doing keyword research, you can determine your set of focus key phrases.

Long-tail keywords are more specific and less commonly searched than so-called head keywords. They focus on a niche market. The longer and more specific the search terms are, the easier they will be to rank for because there will be less competition. Even though fewer people are searching for these terms, they may be more motivated to buy, subscribe, sign up, or whatever job you want them to perform.

Your keyword strategy is about the decisions you make based mexico mobile database on your keyword research. For example, which content will you create first? Will you focus on the head or tail? How and where will you publish it? Will you create a piece, post or product page, video tutorial or infographic?

Tapping into search intent is the key here: you have to discover what the searcher really wants or needs. You’re not just looking at keywords, but focusing on the underlying goal of your content for what the searcher wants to know, do, or buy. Your content should provide a solution to the searcher’s “problem.” This is also known as content design.
