There are really big challenges for smart media planners who are worth a good fee. It is becoming increasingly difficult to establish real contact with real people in such a way that the message is perceived and communication is created that is effective. This requires more than just tools.

Digitalization has turned the media world on its head. users and publishers, advertising customers are mutating into content providers and media are developing into communities. Studies by the University of Oregon show that print readers perceive and remember significantly more content and details than users of the same content online. The attention of TV viewers is declining thanks to second screens. Although the old KPIs and tools do not reflect the new world, the majority of media agencies still operate on "business as usual".
