No time for social media? How to distribute your activities sensibly!

Post by samiul12 »

I developed my pyramid of social media activities specifically for consulting in corporate influencer projects in order to clearly and easily visualize how the individual tasks should be divided up. It is just as applicable to companies as it is to personal brands. In this article, I am presenting it publicly for the first time and explaining it in detail.

Table of contents

The basis: listening, monitoring, research
Reward good content with likes
Anyone who wants to form an opinion must have a say
If you don’t maintain the network…
Content curation: valuable content for me, great linkedin data benefit for the network
Own content: greatest effort – smallest number
More on the topic
Anyone who needs relevant, up-to-date information and who wants to know what their target groups and their industry are talking about cannot do without active participation in social networks. Of course, it is also about distributing information yourself. Agenda setting, opinion leadership, information sovereignty via your own name and relevant terms: both as a brand and as a personal brand, you can only achieve this with relevant, well-placed content.

Nevertheless, the idea that you should primarily broadcast messages on social media so that others can receive them is misleading. If you only talk and never listen, you have no idea what topics are currently affecting others. You don't hear what is being talked about. If in doubt, your own content will get lost in the media noise without anyone noticing it - while elsewhere the exact same topic is being discussed lively.

So let’s take a closer look at each action, starting from the base of the pyramid.
