Post by bhasan01854 »

Whether it's making appointments for vaccinations, breaking chains of infection or transmitting test results: three quarters of people in Germany (75 percent) want to see greater use of digital technologies to stop the spread of the coronavirus. "Every new phase of the coronavirus pandemic reveals new digital deficits in Germany. We have also recently learned that most federal states are not really doing a good job of organizing vaccination appointments. But the coronavirus could be fought so much more easily digitally ," says Bitkom President Achim Berg.

"We cannot prevent the spread of the corona virus with faxes, pencils and overloaded telephone hotlines, but with data platforms, a nationwide, uniform digital organization of vaccination appointments and a corona warning app, the philippines gambling data potential of which is better exploited." In the opinion of many German citizens, vaccination activities in particular are not going fast enough. 85 percent say that more speed is needed in vaccination in Germany. 75 percent find the organization surrounding the corona vaccinations chaotic. At the same time, more than one in two (56 percent) would like the corona warning app to be expanded to include a digital vaccination certificate. These are the results of two representative surveys commissioned by the digital association Bitkom, each of more than 1,000 people in Germany aged 16 and over. The first deals with the corona warning app and was carried out in January 2021, the second survey from the beginning of February is about the corona vaccination.

According to the study, willingness to be vaccinated has increased slightly: 72 percent say they would probably like to be vaccinated against the corona virus. When asked how they would prefer to make a vaccination appointment if they had the choice, more than half of people in Germany showed a clear preference: 59 percent want to make their vaccination appointment online, 43 percent of them using an app on their smartphone or tablet and 16 percent using a website. 27 percent prefer to make an appointment by phone. Currently, the rules for making appointments vary from state to state. While some states only allow appointments to be made by phone, other states also have an appointment portal that can be accessed via an internet browser.
