Now that we have covered the structure of a URL and what it is, let's look at the types of Uniform Resource Locators.

Static URL
Such an address remains unchanged throughout its existence, does not contain any additional parameters and can only be changed by the webmaster or owner of the Internet resource.

Example:

Dynamic URL
This address is created as a result vnpay database of user requests, has separators in its structure such as "?", "&", "=", which determine the requested parameters of the page being searched for. Such a URL is formed if the site user, for example, sorts products by certain parameters, uses product filtering or searches the site.

Example:

From the point of view of SEO of the site, static URLs are preferable for increasing the rank of your resource in search results. Dynamic addresses have a number of disadvantages:

huge length that does not fit in the browser search bar and is cut off when copying;

inability to remember due to large size and complex structure;

reduced click-through rate due to lack of understanding of what will be displayed on the page after clicking on the link;

there is no possibility of indexing key phrases.

URL Formats
We have already mentioned above that URL formats can be different: Cyrillic, transliterated, abbreviated, etc. Each type has its own purpose. Let's look into this in more detail.

Transliterated URLs
URLs written using transliteration are a globally accepted standard used everywhere. Anyone who reads such an address will understand the content of the page or website to which it refers.

URLs for Yandex and Google that contain keywords are considered optimized and are automatically ranked higher in search results. In addition, transliteration helps structure the entire site: for example, you can easily return to its main section - to do this, just erase the part of the address in the browser line that relates to the current page.

Transliterated URLs

Latin URLs
These are URLs that contain words translated into English. For example, instead of "/services/" it will be "/services/", instead of "/about us/" it will be "/about us/".

Most often, this format of web page addresses is used for product categories and individual blog headings. These URLs are well recognized and indexed by search robots.
