Fabric Git: TMDL format for exporting semantic models
Fabric Git integration will begin exporting semantic model definitions using the Tabular Model Definition Language (TMDL) in the coming days. This new approach will replace the use of the single JSON file (model.bim) with the Tabular Model Scripting Language (TMSL).

The TMDL format, with its folder structure and easily france telegram data readable format, provides a significantly improved version control experience. This update not only makes it easier to track change history, but also simplifies conflict resolution during merges, offering a clear advantage over the TMSL format.

Client applications such as Excel and Power BI Desktop now enjoy improved performance when connecting to Power BI semantic models. This is due to the automatic conversion of legacy connection strings (e.g. pbiazure://*) to the XMLA endpoint. This change allows requests to be routed directly through the XMLA endpoint, eliminating intermediate steps, speeding up processing, and reducing the likelihood of errors.

You may need to update your firewall rules. And to ensure optimal performance when connecting to Power BI semantic models, be sure to use the latest Analysis Services client libraries.
