Online price comparison sites are now a common service. What is not so common is that the site allows you to compare prices from local businesses and online offers, so that the consumer knows whether it is better to click or stop by the corner shop.
This is the new service introduced by the German portal guenstiger.de , one of the pioneers of the sector with almost ten years of activity. From the "Local Search" section of the portal, German consumers will be able to compare the prices of some 7,000 local establishments; there they will be able to compare up to two million prices of local businesses.
Local search covers the usual product spectrum on the bitcoin data portal, such as consumer electronics, computers or telephony. Guenstiger has set up a team that scours the price lists and offers of registered retailers. These range from large retailers such as Saturn to the classic "corner shop". "Our analyses show that temporary offers for certain products can sometimes be found cheaper in local stores than in online stores," says Philipp Hartmann, founder and CEO of the guenstiger.de portal.
The Local Prices tab displays the prices
of establishments in the region in which the consumer lives.
For local price searches, the portal includes a new button integrated into the product search bar. On the page of the chosen product, a field dedicated to local prices will appear, which includes offers from the user's region, data previously entered by the user. The portal will include other information about the establishment such as opening hours or contact information, as well as the best way to get to the establishment; in some cases, it will even be possible to see the available stock of the chosen product.
