And to tell you why you should automate your sales funnels, I first need to make sure you understand what a funnel is and its phases (if you already know this, go directly to point 3 of this section).

1. What is a sales funnel
The sales funnel is the fictional representation of the path a customer takes:
Since they discover your services or products.
Until they end up buying from you (or even becoming a loyal customer).
For example, imagine a person who:
They reach your blog by doing a Google search.
After reading a couple of posts, they download your lead magnet and subscribe to your email list.
You send them an automated sales sequence and eventually get them to book an informational meeting.
At the meeting you present your service and close the sale.
All these steps would make up a sales funnel.
