The Ciutadella Park houses the Museum

In 1888, the Ciutadella Park was rebuilt to host the first World Exhibition in Barcelona. Many interesting pavilions appeared there. In 1892, the Barcelona Zoo was opened here, occupying about a third of the park's territory. The highlight of the Ciutadella Park and the basis of its landscape design were a large artificial lake and three alleys - Poplar, Linden and Elm.

In 1881, the monumental Cascada fountain appeared in the Ciutadella Park. In its final version, it was presented at the World Exhibition of 1881. The large Cascada fountain is crowned by a bronze chariot of Aurora. Several Catalan architects and sculptors took part in the creation of its monumental composition, including the young Antonio Gaudi.

In one of the ponds of the Ciutadella Park there is a sculpture called Despair. This is the work of the Catalan sculptor Josep Llimona, which has become one of the city's popular attractions and a symbol of Barcelona.
When boating down the Colorado River, which flows deep into the famous Grand Canyon in Arizona, you're bound to come across a rather strange sight - a giant pumpkin hanging over the river. Due to its color and rounded shape, this unusual geological formation was named Pumpkin Spring, which translates as Pumpkin Creek.
Pumpkin Creek is travertine, a limestone deposit from carbonated springs that has accumulated in this area over thousands of years, forming the original giant pumpkin shape.

Despite the picturesque appearance and temptingly warm water, swimming in this pool is quite dangerous - the water in its composition has a high concentration of copper, zinc, lead and arsenic. If you are an absolute extreme and you are interested in thrills, then, having plunged into the water of this pool, immediately rinse under the running water of the river.
