Safety
Google developers say that when you pay in a store, Google Pay does not provide your real card details. Instead, the store receives a unique encrypted number. This approach allows you to keep the customer's payment information safe. The service also has a smart authentication feature that allows you to determine whether the device is in a secure state and decides whether to ask the user for data to unlock the screen. Google Pay also accepts a PIN, password, or pattern to authenticate transactions.
