Companies lack digital competence

Post by bhasan01854 »

But it is not just the slow expansion of the network that is still holding back digitization in Germany, but also the lack of specialist skills among employees. A survey by the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) has shown that many companies are neglecting to train and recruit specialist staff for reasons of time and cost. This means that the digital skills of the workforce, especially in medium-sized companies, are falling further behind the current state of development.

hurdles in funding programs
Numerous funding programs from the federal south africa gambling data government, states and the EU are intended to promote digitization. In reality, however, the sheer volume of funding programs is so confusing that many companies cannot find their way around. In addition, the regulations and requirements are too complicated and the application process involves an excessive amount of bureaucracy. Many companies fail to overcome these hurdles, so digitization in Germany will continue to progress only slowly.

The future belongs to fiber optics
The lack of digitization is now a reason for foreign investors not to invest their money in Germany. And this negative trend will not be stopped for the time being. Because the future of data transmission belongs to fiber optics . Even the 5G standard can only be implemented with fiber optics. In an international comparison, Germany is only in 30th place out of 33 when it comes to expansion . At the end of 2020, only 4.8 percent of households had a fiber optic connection, in Ukraine the figure is 15 percent, and in Spain even over 60 percent! At least the expansion is to be accelerated. Telekom wants every household and every company in Germany to have a fiber optic connection by 2030.
