But we don’t have full-spectrum RSO at cbdMD for several good reasons. To find out why not, keep reading.
Who is Rick Simpson?
Rick Simpson is a Canadian who began using medical marijuana eu phone numbers decades ago to help him cope with the long-term effects of a head injury. In 2003, several spots appeared on his arms, which turned out to be basal cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer.
While researching the subject, Simpson noticed a study showing THC helped shrink tumors in mice. So he created a super-potent cannabis oil—80 to 90 percent THC, he says—by washing marijuana buds in a solvent and boiling them down to a thick substance. He smeared some on the spot, bandaged it, and eventually, his cancer was gone.
After that experience, Simpson set out to spread the word about the oil to the rest of the world. He didn't actually sell it -- as noted, he didn't patent the substance, he provided instructions on his website for how to make it at home, and he even gave it away for free (though that was probably partly for legal reasons we'll get to later). But what exactly is in it?
What is Full Spectrum RSO?
The term “full spectrum” is seen often in the CBD and cannabis industry. We explained what full spectrum means in more detail in a previous article, but the short version is that it describes a cannabis extract that includes the broadest possible range of cannabinoids, terpenes, amino acids, and other nutrients found in the plant.
