Once inside Amazon Custom you will have to edit your listings

you will see that now in the "dropdown menu" that you usually use to edit the products, an option appears that you had not seen before: Add / Edit customization information.

Thanks to this option in the context menu you will access the corresponding section.

Since there are three types of customization in Custom, you will need to add the options depending on whether you are going to do it as text, image, or are intrinsic variations to the product configuration itself.

You can see that, being very simple, the tool is not bad, in fact, it allows you to choose exactly the maximum size of the customization, its position, the maximum number of characters you can write or the fonts that you will allow the end user to use for the customization. These products must be customized before confirming the order.

A button appears at the top right which, in turn, italy phone number opens a pop-up with the editable characteristics (not much, I tell you).

Outside of Custom, we find sellers who work with a customized product but they do it in a way that I imagine causes them more problems than anything else.I've looked at a few using the keyword “custom” and found several examples where all of them required the user to perform some additional action that is not at all simple.

For example, buying a customizable item, paying for it, and then sending the image you want to use via email or adding the text to the gift options… something that is not practical at all.

They are simply not ready today.

This doesn't mean that they won't be, because they are actually making progress in that direction, it's just that right now it's a bit too much for them, if only because of the user interface and the mechanics themselves.

Given what we have seen, it seems quite clear that, for the moment, product customization, together with customer service (preferably in pre-sale) continue to be a trump card for eCommerce companies that want to stand out from Amazon.
