Fighting procrastination
We can define procrastination as that attitude we have towards canada phone number list that we know we should do but that we keep putting off throughout the hours, the day, the week...
You get home, you want to study a little English. But you look at your Facebook wall, you find a video funny, you share it, you know you should start studying, but you check the website where the video is, you pass an article to a friend and… poof! Time has flown by! You don’t have time to study anymore, you’ll have to put it off until tomorrow… How can you avoid it? Here are some tips:
Know yourself. What makes you procrastinate? Identify what makes you waste time and try to limit it.
Set goals. Be realistic and specific, though. If you set unattainable goals, you won't be motivated.
Routine is not always bad. If everything has its time in the day, it will be easier for you to carry out your tasks. It is okay to want a little leisure time and to check your wall or distract yourself for a while, but everything has its time.
Take notes. Sometimes we don't just procrastinate for fun, but because we have so many things on our minds that they are so difficult to prioritize that we can't move forward. If you're studying English, keep a notebook handy and write down all those thoughts that are unrelated to studying. When you finish your study time, you can address them.
