In our society there is a belief that the job of a teleoperator is low-skilled and that anyone can do it regardless of their training. Neither of these statements is true and we will prove it in this post.

The work of teleoperators is of utmost importance within the company, since the company's objectives depend largely on them. If they carry out their task well, the set objectives will be met successfully and probably before the established deadline. If they do it poorly, the objectives will not be met, the deadlines will not be met and the company will most likely need to make additional expenses that will affect the annual profit.

We are not going to deny that almost anyone can start working as a teleoperator, but they will never perform their job well if they do not meet a few requirements and skills:

Fluent language

It is very important to have the gift of gab, to like talking and to know how to choose the right words so that our interlocutor feels comfortable and trusts us. If he notices that we hesitate, that we doubt or that he does not like the tone in which we speak, he will close up and we will be assured of a rejection of our proposal, whatever it may be.

Psychology

We must use a great deal of psychology over the telephone line, to know very quickly how to lead the person we are speaking to towards our objective. And little by little, we must convince him that he needs the product we are offering. We must create in the interlocutor the need to acquire the product we are offering, persuading him that he really needs it, and for this, psychology is fundamental. We must be very attentive to the tone in which he speaks to us, to his answers and to his silences in order to use them skillfully and direct them towards our final objective.
