For shooting catalogs, light is often used that evenly illuminates the object and does not create shadows. To do this, two light sources are placed high and directed at the ceiling. Their power should be the same. The stands are located on the cyclorama diagonally: one on the left in front of the model, the second on the right behind.
The result is an even background fill, the light envelops the model, softly working out its contours. The model itself does not fall into the shadow, so you can get by with fewer light sources.
Both sources have the same power and are directed at the wall. The light is behind the model or object. Thanks to this, we get clear and expressive reflections that work well on the contour of the model.
This lighting scheme is suitable for both model and product photography.
In this scheme we use one light source, located in front of the egypt consumer email list model, to the side. We use the left flag to cut off excess light from the background, and the second flag is used for reflection, to softly illuminate the model from the opposite side, reducing the contrast of the shadows.
All the same can be created not only in model photography, but also in product photography.
Photography using one constant light source. The source is fitted with curtains that allow the boundaries of the light pattern to be changed during shooting.
Try moving them around while shooting to achieve the desired result. The shadows in this scheme will be quite contrasting, which will emphasize the volume in the photos.
Photo with two sources of constant light and a mirror plastic (flexible mirror). Make sure that the source has curtains, this will greatly facilitate your work, allowing you to change the boundaries of the light pattern.
In the presented scheme, one light source is directed at the model, the second at an angle of 45° towards the mirror plastic, this arrangement of light creates cool highlights on the wall or background.
Note how the curtains on the source are closed; this is necessary so that the light beam is limited and does not fall on other parts of the location.
